Douglas Fir Wirebrushed Mandeville Beams (BM151MAN)

Our Douglas Fir Wirebrushed Mandeville Beams feature the wood’s characteristic linear grain prominently. Think sun-faded wheat, dry straw, and muted honey, layered with soft ash-gray shadows and cooler driftwood undertones. The grain reads clearly, so the color feels earned rather than applied. Overall, it lands as calm, architectural, and quietly aged, with just enough contrast in the growth lines to keep it from feeling flat.

The surface is planed then wirebrushed to enhance the fir’s pronounced grain, gently removing the softer growth rings to reveal deeper texture and movement, while the finish allows the lighter highlights to remain prominent. Available in both box and solid construction and crafted in any size.

Wirebrushed Beams Detailed Specs

These beams are surface finished using tools that offer different depths of wirebrushed surface textures. This finish opens up the grain of the wood by brushing away softer grain and leaving the harder grain behind. This highlights the natural grain patterns of the wood and makes the harder grain more prominent. With our expertise we can produce looks that range from rustic to refined. Wirebrushed beams are available as either solid beams or constructed box beams. The lighter-weight box beams combine the beauty of the refined surface with the benefit of being cheaper to ship and install. Use box beams as a new architectural design element or to cover existing beams. E&K's Wirebrushed Beams deliver the presence of true vintage timber while offering flexible sizing for any project.
