We craft our Oak Threshing Floor Beams from authentic reclaimed Oak threshing barn floorboards. Reclaimed from the floors of agricultural barns where grain was hand threshed and winnowed. Years of use left behind a surface rich with natural wear, patina, and historic character.
The texture is more rustic than a typical reclaimed Rough Sawn Oak plank. One side is deeply textured and weathered from decades of threshing use. Unlike saw-cut surfaces, the working side of the boards does not feature visible saw marks. Instead, the texture comes from usage, age, wear, and exposure over time.
Color variation ranges from warm brown to weathered earth tones with darker aged areas throughout the grain. The surface can have natural checking, worn edges, surface impressions, and tonal shifts. This gives every beam a distinct appearance. No two pieces are alike.
These beams are well-suited for rustic, industrial, farmhouse, and historic interiors. They bring depth and authenticity to residential and commercial spaces alike. Our Threshing Floor Beams are available as box beams in custom sizes to suit project needs. See our quality standards page to see how we fabricate our box beams.
