Douglas Fir Rough Sawn Unfinished Beams (BM105)

Douglas Fir Rough Sawn Unfinished Beams bring character and warmth to any project. The surface is original, left untouched with original saw marks and texture intact. These reclaimed beams are 100 to 200 years old, recovered from vintage barns, mills, and industrial structures.

These beams range from warm golden tones to deeper browns, often with variation within a single beam. Original patina, weathering, and natural color shifts make each timber distinct. Unfinished beams show greater variation than stained beams, and that range is what gives them their depth and character. For a more consistent look.

Built to any size, these beams offer authentic texture, natural variation, and the presence of real reclaimed Douglas Fir.

Wirebrushed Beams Detailed Specs

These beams are surface finished using tools that offer different depths of wirebrushed surface textures. This finish opens up the grain of the wood by brushing away softer grain and leaving the harder grain behind. This highlights the natural grain patterns of the wood and makes the harder grain more prominent. With our expertise we can produce looks that range from rustic to refined. Wirebrushed beams are available as either solid beams or constructed box beams. The lighter-weight box beams combine the beauty of the refined surface with the benefit of being cheaper to ship and install. Use box beams as a new architectural design element or to cover existing beams. E&K's Wirebrushed Beams deliver the presence of true vintage timber while offering flexible sizing for any project.
