The planks these beams are made from are reclaimed from Cedar bins used to grow mushrooms. The unique character of this reclaimed Cedar comes from the process that happens when the soil medium the mushrooms are grown in interacts with the Cedar grain. Enzymes wear away at the softer parts of the wood, creating a dimensional surface and enhancing the grain, resulting is a rustic eye-catching texture.
After the mushrooms are harvested, the Cedar bins are taken apart, hand sorted, and cleaned. We use this reclaimed wood to create Rough Sawn beams that stand out in rustic style with a fantastically contoured and textured surface. Seen here in both rich brown and custom grey tones.
We also craft siding and paneling from Cedar Mushroom Wood! You can see Mushroom Wood Brown Paneling and Siding here and Mushroom Wood Grey Paneling and Siding here.
